Taylor Schildgen is associated principal investigator in the International Research Training Group "StRATEGy" and holds a professorship in geomorphology at the University of Potsdam. She is working at the GFZ Potsdam in the geomorphology section. Her research interest is the topographic evolution of orogens, rates and processes of fluvial erosion, and understanding how landforms and landscapes evolve in diverse tectonic and climatic settings (e.g. Andes, NW Himalaya, East Africa).
