Oliver Korup is principal investigator in the International Research Training Group "StRATEGy" and holds a professorship for geohazards at the University of Potsdam. His research is aimed at understanding the mechanisms of natural hazards, the processes shaping the Earth's surface, and the controlling factors of erosion and sediment flux in mountain belts like the Himalaya and the Andes.
